Food Truck & Arts Festival
The 5th Annual Marlborough Food Truck and Arts Festival is right around the corner and we could not be more excited! Downtown Marlborough will be party central on September 8th with food trucks, live music, community groups, vendors and so much more. Come be part of one of the city's biggest annual events.

Marlborough Downtown Pop-Up Shops Host SummerWEEN
The Marlborough Downtown Pop-Up Shops brought some spooky fun to the Marlborough Farmers Market on August 17th with its SummerWEEN celebration. Local vendors filled the market and attendees decorated trick-or-treat bags, enjoyed face painting, and participated in the MEDC costume raffles. Thank you everyone who attended! |

Wyebot Launches Software to Improve Video Conferencing Connectivity Reliability
Marlborough-based Wyebot an AI-driven WiFi automation company, has announced the launch of its newest software, DEX Agent. This software will allow IT workers to oversee user experience during real time video conferences and remotely troubleshoot connectivity issues. |

Marlborough Welcomes Three New Businesses
We're happy to share that three new businesses have recently opened in Marlborough, including the highly anticipated Wemmy's Kitchen & Lounge. The upscale dining option has brought the downtown restaurant community to new heights.
Loop CO2, a green chemistry research-and-development company, and medical spa Halie Jean Aesthetics also join Wemmy's as new additions to Marlborough.

Brijesh Patel, ECI co-founder, Named Company's New CEO
Enhanced Compliance, Inc (ECI), a Marlborough-based life sciences consulting firm, has named Brijesh Patel as ECI's new Chief Executive Officer. A co-founder of ECI, Patel brings 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry to his new role. In addition to his time at ECI, Patel's career includes leadership roles at both Abbott Laboratories and Teva Pharmaceuticals.

"Hey Kiddo's Playtime" Comes to Solomon Pond Mall
Marlborough is getting introduced to the term "edutainment" as Hey Kiddo's Playtime, a family activities and play center, is the latest business to arrive at the Solomon Pond Mall. Hey Kiddo's Playtime opened its doors on August 28th and boasts more than 26,000 square feet of fun and educational activities that includes a coffee lounge and cafe. |

City Council Approves Donald Lynch Boulevard Re-Zoning
On August 19th, The Marlborough City Council unanimously approved the re-zoning of Donald Lynch Boulevard.
The re-zoning of this district will allow for new uses to be permitted by right and by special permit in the district. Future projects could include, but are not limited to, additional restaurants, drive-thrus and mixed-use projects.

Multi-Family MBTA Housing Overlay District Project Moves Onto Planning Board, Urban Affairs
A public hearing was held on August 19th at Marlborough City Council the meeting to discuss an amendment to Chapter 650 "Zoning" to include a new section for the Multi-Family MBTA Housing Overlay District (Section 3A). Originally sent to the City Council by Former Mayor Arthur Vigeant, the item will now be brought in front of the Planning Board and Urban Affairs Committee for review.

MassLeads Act Put On Hold As Legislative Session Concludes
Governor Maura Healey's Economic Development Bill (MassLeads Act) stalled following the conclusion of the legislative session on July 31st. While the bill was supported by both the Senate and the House of Representatives, the bill now sits with the Speaker and Senate President offices. |
