MARLBOROUGH CITY HAPPENINGS - FEBRUARY 2018
Marlborough High School’s baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer teams will soon be practicing and playing on a modern synthetic turf surface.
The long-awaited overhaul of a one-mile stretch of Rte. 85 from the Southborough border to John Street is set to begin sometime this spring.
The city is seeking a Community Development Block Grant to reconstruct Devens and McEnelly streets, including repaving, granite curbs and new sidewalks.
The cost to construct a new elementary school on Poirier Road is far less than was estimated this fall. That cost fell by more than $10 million thanks to the Model School Program.
The Marlborough Public Library Foundation is making strides toward its goal of raising $2 million to help defray the cost of the proposed library addition and renovation.
Planning leaders outlined draft multi-family housing guidelines that recommend what types should be built in certain sections of the city.
