A $3 million MassWorks grant awarded to the city this month will go toward work to help improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety along Rte. 20 near the new Apex Center
City Council OKs Main Street condo project
A new mixed-use project will be coming to Main Street, as city councilors signed off on a developer’s plan to construct a six-story building that will house 32 condos and a restaurant
Friendly's drive-thru plan approved
Visitors to the planned Apex Center will be able to snack on ice cream treats and food, as the City Council gave the OK for a Friendly’s drive-thru restaurant at the development
Zoning change for assisted living facility gets OK
A proposal for the construction of a 104-bed assisted living facility moved forward, as city councilors approved a zoning amendment allowing the center to be built on Bolton Street
City's unemployment rate is lowest in 15 years
The city’s unemployment rate dipped to 2.7 percent in September, the lowest mark in more than 15 years.
The new rate marks a 33% decrease from the same time last year
